| Comments: This is my favorite beer, possibibly because I have spent many an afternoon in Freo out the back of the brewery drinking and letting lifes problems blow away with the freo doctor. Or it could be because of the great citris flavour that explodes in your mouth and the bitter reminder that flows over you tounge before you take another swig. I think a beer that is destined to be a true Australian great |

| Comments: Not my favourite style, but this one appears to be a good representative. It is certainly an interesting comparison to the Grand Ridge Gippsland Gold Pale Ale, they are probably the best of the style Australia has to offer, and yet are quite different in their character. A lovely luminous though slightly hazy orange/gold with a nice compact creamy white head. Plenty of flowery/citrusy hops aroma on top of a nice malt foundation. The flavour starts with spice and citrus hops with a hint of green grapes in the background. Biscuity malt is next, followed by a reasonbly big and dry hops finish. Overall impression is clean and elegant. Aftertaste is pleasant and lasts well. A good effort.

| Comments: Drank this one quite often a few years back at our frequent haunt, but never battered an eyelid past it’s thirst quenching qualities, until now!!. Tasted on draught at the brewery, it poured a slightly hazy gold with a thin dense white head. Aroma is very APA, citrus hops, quite zesty and clean, with a breaded yeastiness. A medium light body and mild carbonation gave a pleasant mouth feel. Well balanced flavours of mixed fruit, lemon rind, oranges, mild sweet front, grapefruit sides and more fruity esters throughout and well into the lightly spiced swallow. On the down side, it became mildly soapy and lost a little of it’s ’zing’ towards the end of the pint. Over all, though, a brilliant APA, brewed right here in Fremantle (let’s hope the ’conglomerates’ keep their sweaty palms of it!) and now a well deserved global name.
