| Comments: Hightail Ale is, in my opinion, MG's best beer. This beer is a perfect balance of hops and malt, sure to satisfy picky ale drinkers. Great all around. |

| Comments: A good all around ale. Without a doubt one of the better products from Mountain Goat. Strong malt body and bright hop charactoristics show clearly.
In addition to that, no preservatives or additives! |

| Comments: Tasted this one after downing a bottle of their Pale ale. Poured a slightly hazy bronze with little floaties darting about. Head formed, died back and managed to reform after a little settling time, dense, thin and beige in colour. Nutty malt nose with a little burnt wood and floral, leafy hops. Similar nutty malt in the mouth with an odd mix of white wine, cantaloupe and smoky malt that seemed to come from the aroma (initially reminded me of the VB original ale). Light bodied and spritzy in carbonation, it was a little watery but held up to it with a generous amount of flavour and it definitely went down with ease with a short malty swallow to finish. Not bad!!!

| Comments: Very decent beer although it tastes completely different when drinking from the bottle compared to on tap. I prefer the tap version, which is thicker in texture. |

| Comments: Another great beer from the Goat boys. I've had some nasty versions of this around the traps, but it's good to tatse a fresh sample that makes me happy that things are looking up in the Australian craftbrewing industry. Sampled with Teaser.
Poured a nice red amber into the pint glasses, a slight haze from yeast of chill. Dense white head that hightailed (hehehehe) it out of here quickly leaving a layer of lacing to coat the glass on it's way down.
Smelt great, plenty of hop, almost earthy, like Fuggle or Styrians. A candied caramel toffee aroma from the malt and fermentation profile. Plenty of fruityness.
Tasted yummo too. PLenty of malt and hops, but what hits you first is the toffee and caramel, possibly a bit of kettle caramelisation? A lingering hop bitterness is pleasant enough, but needs more hop flavour for my buck. Very rich and full, complex and multi layered from the malts used, and possibly even a hint of alcohol, or I could be dreaming, or drinking...
A great beer, possibly one of the best Australian interpretations of the style. |

| Comments: Very Flavoursome with spiciness and fruit flavours. If you are a fan of a darker burnt ale such as james squires amber this is for you. |

| Comments: Although I think I may have been drinking a slightly less than fresh example of this beer, it still came across as quite good. Very firm creamy head, nice fruity nose and a good full slightly bitter taste. |
