Scharers Little Brewery had its origins in the vision of licensee and publican Geoffrey Scharer. An Australian of German and Swiss extraction, born in a pub, and the fourth generation of a family of publicans, even as a kid Geoffrey was convinced beer could be made on a small scale in the pub itself.
